With the otherworldly quality of Enya, the passion of Kate Bush, and the sophisticated repertoire of Sarah Brightman, Jennifer Reff, a predominantly classical artist incorporates elements of non-classical music genres for a style that is characterized by delicate vocals and rich layers of ambient sound.
Born November 3, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan and raised in rural Michigan; Jennifer became interested in the Arts at a very early age and studied ballet, voice, and piano growing up. Her decision to make performing a career came in 2002 when she left her Anthropology major at Western Michigan University and moved to Las Vegas.
In addition to recording, Jennifer is a versatile performer with numerous credits in theater, independent film, and dance. As a classically trained vocalist, she has toured Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Choir and portrayed the role of Christine from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera in Meet Tony: Scenes from Tony Award Winning Musicals. In 2004, Jennifer starred in the independent film Christmas Rolls as the insecure Melody who overcomes a disability and finds the courage to sing. Christmas Rolls premiered December 2004 in Las Vegas. Most recently, Jennifer was a member of the Artiste dell’Arte, strolling performers and opera singers that perform at The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Inspired by anthropology, history, and classic literature; Jennifer’s latest project Portrait of a Lady is a Victorian melodrama concept album. Previously, Jennifer recorded two self-titled demos in 2004 and 2006. Portrait of a Lady was released in May 2008.
